Life will always throw us curve balls or present us with situations that we struggle to handle skillfully. Our ability to cope with situations dictate our inner peace a lot of the times. Healthy coping skills are paramount.
Understand the coping skills are really just skills we utilize to accept and process life’s difficulties. These skills help maintain a stress free life and enable us to proceed. There are healthy and unhealthy mechanisms. The unhealthy ones really just distract us and keep us from truly healing or accepting. Examples would be drinking, drugs, isolation etc. Those aren’t sustainable and typically do more harm than good.
