Addiction Treatment For Veterans

This episode Lui & Trinity talk about our service men and women who dedicate their lives for the protection of our country and all that it stands for. Unfortunately the suicides and substance use disorder problems following their service are very high.

Heroes’ Mile is a new addiction treatment program in DeLand, FL and they sent their Director of Programs David Cartagena, CAP, CMHP, ICADC to join them on the program. David himself is an Army Veteran and Certified Addictions Professional. He explains some of the services they offer to help our soldiers in need get the necessary help.

They discuss some of the barriers to treatment, if what we are doing as a treatment and recovery community is working, and what help is available and necessary. Learn more about the Veterans Affairs (VA) and how they can be accessed to help you or a military veteran you know.

Should you be able to help with additional information please post below. They share their opinions on The Couch Live, and so should you. Feel free to comment.
